Dani Ella’s poetic lyrics, irrepressible vocals, and evocative musicianship are a faint reflection of the
remarkable gifts that characterize the Columbus, Ohio based vocalist.
Born in Mansfield Ohio, Ella began writing as early as elementary school. By age 15, she was composing
and recording her own music. Ella went on to release three musical projects, and throughout her career
has gained the love and support of music lovers all over the world with her unique pen style and silky
voice.
We wanted to catch the inside exclusive with Dani Ella to learn more about who her career, and more. Below is what we gained from talking with Dani Ella.
What first got you into music?
I wrote my first song at 8 years old.
What made you come up with your stage name?
My given name is Daniele, and my former stage name is Ella Starr. I thought merging the two would be familiar and organic for everyone as I embark on this new musical journey.
Most craziest moment after a show ?
I had my first show a year after giving birth to my first child, and it went so well I cried when I was done. It was awesome!
What’s your favorite fashion trend to wear?
Honestly, I am very relaxed. I like sweats and dressing down, similar to Teyana Taylor.
What was life like growing up?
I grew up in a loving family with awesome parents and little brother. We grew up in the church, therefore I learned a lot from being a member of the choir at a young age. I was surrounded by caring people who wanted the best for me.
Tell us one of your best memories with music and without music?
My best memories are taking trips with my family. My best memory musically is shooting a video in Times Square for my last album.
Funniest moments ?
My funniest moments are always with my musician friends. I love to laugh and talk trash Lol.
Who inspired you to make music?
All the music around me. I’ll have to thank my parents for that – always playing the best R&B around the house.
How would you describe the music you typically create?
Melodic and harmonious with a message.
What is your creative process like ?
I really feel the music and what it makes me think about. Most times I will hear a track and think of a story. Sometimes I write the song first with a personal story and then build music around it. It depends on how I feel at the moment.
Who would you most like to collaborate with ?
I would love to work with Babyface.
What is one message you would give to your fans?
A message for my supporters is to remain authentic to yourself and who you know you really are.

I usually make up random songs to Lo Fi , Lol
What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?
I would be enjoying being a parent and traveling with my daughter, showing her the world.
Where have you performed? What are your favorite / least favorite venues ?
I have performed in various soul venues across the midwest.
I love a good open mic!
My least favorite venue is a corporate type event.
Do you have any upcoming shows?
I will get back on stage at the top of the year.
How do you feel the internet has impacted the music business?
The internet has made it so much easier to connect music all over the world. There is an unlimited space to share art with others, and I love that.
