Meet Atlanta Artist DDouble RR

ree

This indie artist has hit after hit! Get ready for Atlanta's next big thing !! DDouble RR wants to let the world know who he is and more!

Tell me in a few words, who you are.

Well I go by DDOUBLERR however,

people may know me as “BJ”. I was actually born in

Gary,Indiana and moved to Atlanta,GA at the age of 6. I’ve

been in Georgia for over 20 years now so you know I also

consider this my home.

 What’s your stage name and how did you come up with it? My

stage name is DDOUBLERR! I actually ran through a few

names but I feel like this one is me. I wanna be real rich and

wealthy double the amount. So I figured why not

DDOUBLERR. I put the the name together because I didn’t

wanna separate being REAL AND RICH.

 What got you into music?

My brother Ken honestly. I used to

freestyle a tab bit here and there but nothing serious until I

made one song and and he told me I should take it seriously.

Knowing at the time I was just playing around so for him to say

that meant a lot. So here we are now!

 What was life like growing up?

Life was good! My mother did a

very well job making sure that I had what I needed when I

needed it. I had a good childhood. Talking one of those drink

from the water hose and don’t come back inside or you staying

inside childhoods!

 Who is your inspiration? What keeps you going to get up daily

and put effort into your music career?

Most people say they

kids. As a father I will always take care of my kids if I do music

or not. I do this because I love it. I could care less about the

money because that’s where a lot of people go wrong. The

criticism keeps me going makes me want to get up and go

harder everytime. My audience loves my music but you will

always have some that love your music. The criticism is what I

thrive on plus you have to do it for yourself before anything

because you the one that’s going to put all the hard work in.

 What is your creative process like? What is the meaning behind

your current single?

First off I wanna say major shout out to my

engineer DOPE JOCKEY. Sometimes in the booth artist need

that extra push and he ALWAYS deliver that. My process is

very simple. Make a record! Not a song. Some songs die out.

Records live for ever you know what I mean.

 What is the name of the current single/ep/album that you

are pushing? Do you prefer people to buy it or stream? And

why?

Currently we are getting ready to drop my debut single

“Panoramic Roof”. I feel like whatever way they can get it to get

me them views. DO IT! Stream it, buy it, bootleg it in all for it.

 Do you feel like the music industry has went down since the

pandemic? Why or why not? Where you affected by the

pandemic with music or everyday life?

I feel like because

everybody is still scared to catch COVID-19. I myself had

COVID-19, although I didn’t experience the worst side effects

from it. I really think that’s the main reason. No I wasn’t effected

by it. I still went out and about because I have to daughters that

needed diapers and food so i just made sure I was fully

protected and moved swiftly.

 If you were give a chance to sit down and have a business

dinner with a celebrity who would it be and why?

I would say

Jay Z. That’s a million dollars worth of game right there. After a

meeting with the Jay I’ll be a millionaire in no time cause I’ll

make sure I pitch for him to keep me around.

 How do you balance everyday life tied into your music career?

Honestly I don’t. I live by stay ready so you don’t have to get

ready. It’s off balance. I make sure my kids are good before

anything and then I tend to my music.

 Tell me about your most memorable moment in your career?

My first performance. I always look at the crowd and see if they

rocking with me! They was tuned in and it and for it to be my

first performance it made it all worth it.

 What style of music do you prefer to make? Would you

ever try a different lane?

I’m more on the rap side of the music.

However. I actually do have different genres of music in the

works. I try to cater to everyone because what one person may

not like another will but I make club, streets, dancing or even

music for the older crowd. Everyone gets a piece of the pie with

me.

 Do you have a celebrity crush?

Of course! If you reading this

AYO MEGAN GOOD! What’s good! Lol

 Is there anyone who you would collab with right now?

Yes. Drake. I look at what one song with Drake has done for other

people careers and it’s a no brained.

 Who is the producer and engineer behind your music? I deal

with different producers daily and always take hardest beat! I

mentioned Dope before we could get to this question lol but

ima say it again! Major S/O to my engineer DOPEJOCKEY!

Always keep me tuned and always motivate whoever comes to

him! Make sure y’all record at Straight Off The Boar Studios!

One of the best studios in Atlanta.

 What are you currently working on and what is next for you?

I’m working on delivering the people a 7 track EP alongside

with getting my Single out. It’s all in the works and really only

thing I’m getting together as of right now is specific date.

 When it comes to fashion, whats your dressing style ?

I’m probably the most jogger suit, track pants, ripped jeans and

dope boy Air Force ones wearing type of artist you’ll find. I’ve

never been into designer and don’t even think I’ll ever be in

that lane.

 If you could open up for one celebrity who would it be and why?

I’m sticking with Drake! The amount of success I’ve seen artist

get behind a feature or a open up for Drake is really up there.

 Any funny stories or an embarrassing moments you want to

share with our readers? Yes lol. Back when I played ball I was

in a AAU tournament in SC. I caught a putback dunk off the rim

on two people gym went crazy! But as I’m walking out I see the

other team watching the video and they fast forward to that part

because all you hear is ahhhhhhhhh he dunk on yo a@@!

They was super mad so me and my team yelled ahhhhhh he

dunk on yo a@@! Lmao that had us crying for the rest of the

tournament.

 What would you be doing right now if it wasn’t for your music

career?

Working. In which I still am until this path takes me from that.

Society has lead us to believe working a 9-5 lame when you make

music. Very greatly I’m smart enough to know not to live by that.

 What is one message you would give to your fans? Stay ready!

I’ll be seeing you sooner thank you think and I love all the

support!
